Professional Education, Independence, and Lifelong Support
RTU is committed to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children beyond their school years by enabling access to higher and professional education. With continuous guidance and care, young people pursue careers in fields such as nursing, engineering, medicine, laboratory technology, physiotherapy, and other vocational disciplines.
To remove financial barriers, RTU provides educational support, ensuring every child can achieve their aspirations. RTU also promotes career readiness through workshops and seminars on communication, workplace skills, interview preparation, and leadership development.
RTU extends its role beyond education by guiding young adults toward stable and independent lives, including support as they transition into family life (marriage), helping break the cycle of poverty.
The Alumni Association fosters strong intergenerational bonds, where former beneficiaries support one another and mentor younger children. Through regular engagement and annual gatherings, they share experiences, celebrate achievements, and reinforce a lifelong sense of belonging within the RTU family.
A story of transformation
Gurubaran came to RTU after experiencing severe family distress and loss. Through consistent care, education, and emotional support, he continued his studies from RTU’s early learning program to the children’s village and later to the boys’ hostel. Today, he is pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science and working toward an independent future. His journey shows how steady support can transform vulnerability into hope.
