Daycare center
Day care center
At RTU we have 2 day-care centres for the under three’s. These centres mean that children are not left home alone or that the elder child can continue to go to school and is not kept at home to look after the youngest.
My daughter Subeda was a shy and timid girl before she was sent to the day-care centre (DCC). She used to cry whenever she happened to meet a strange person. Last year she was admitted in the DCC run by RTU. In the beginning I had to carry her to the DCC but it was only for a week. Suddenly she showed interest in attending the centre. Singing and dancing were favourties in the DCC.
The affection shown by the care giver was another reason for her falling in love with the DCC. She also found many friends in the centre. We found her singing and dancing at home after returning from the centre. During the holidays she gathers children from the village and teaches them songs and dance. Before we were worried about our child while we were at work. But now after sending the child to the DCC we work peacefully and earn our daily income. We have no apt words to express our gratitude to RTU for the excellent services it is doing for the working mothers through the DCC.
